burly burlap

well, burlap isn't the most comfy textile to use for upholstery. however, it worked out handsomely for this masculine headboard that my friend shawn and i made for his bedroom.

the headboard that got away...

at the flea market, i saw this old retro room divider that i thought would be such a cool headboard. it is 8' wide. the graphic squares are all carved out of actual wood. by that afternoon, i was already sad that i hadn't bought it. will it be there next month? doubt it but i can sure hope...
